Ortho-K

Orthokeratology (Ortho-K) is a treatment for short sight that provides stable corrected vision, 24 hours a day, without the need for spectacles or contact lenses.  Specially designed gas-permeable lenses (Night Lenses) are worn while you sleep, removed when you wake, and your vision is clear for the rest of the day.

Myopia (short-sight) Control

Added to the benefit of stable corrected vision throughout the day, there is now much evidence to suggest that short-sighted (myopic) children who undergo Ortho-K treatment may end up with less myopia as adults compared with children who wear spectacles or regular contact lenses during the peak years of myopia progression.  Slowing the progression of myopia may even reduce the risks of eye problems later in life.

How do Night Lenses work?

Night Lenses work by gently changing the shape of your eye.  All contact lenses do this to some extent but Night Lenses are tailor-made to fit your eye precisely and so enhance this effect to correct your vision.

What are the benefits?

  • Stable corrected vision 24 hours a day

  • No contact lens related dryness or discomfort

  • Freedom of naturally good eye sight

  • None of the risks of laser eye surgery
